Hello families
Thank you to all the parents who attended Friday's Sharing Assembly. The children sang "Little Poppy" about being a good friend and Matthew, Cole, Siri and Jamie received awards for this month's TDSB Character Trait which is Empathy. Good job!
We are continuing our work on phonics and are creating a book about animals (this month's theme) that the children can bring home and read.
Thank you to all the parents who came in for interviews. I enjoyed speaking with you about your children's progress and look forward to meeting you again second term. I am always available for informal meetings as well. I am very pleased with the children's progress and effort and with how much they have learned already. Keep up the good work!
On December 1st (morning class) and 2nd (afternoon class) we will be going to the Lorraine Kisma Theatre. Since no food is allowed on the school bus we will not be having snack so please ensure your child has had a good breakfast that morning.
A note was sent to all parents regarding Holiday Season donations to needy families in the Stonegate area of Etobicoke. Each class at LKS is participating in this drive and will help a needy family. I have a basket in my classroom for each class if you are able to contribute. Thank you so much to those families who have contributed already. Baskets will be collected by Parent Council on December 10th.
It's hard to believe but we are already starting Holiday activities! A reminder that the Kindergarten Holiday concert is December 13 at 6 p.m. Please ensure your children are wearing a white shirt and black pants/skirt and a Santa/Reindeer hat if possible. We will be singing three songs - Up on the Rooftop, Dreidel, and Jingle Bells, and the Morning and Afternoon Classes will be performing together.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
