Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

First of all, I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend. The weather is supposed to be beautiful!

Thank you so much to my Parent Volunteers of this week: Chloe's mom did Reading Club, Sienna's mom and Mrs. Najder did the White bags, and Cameron D's mom and Carly's dad were our Mystery Readers.

Please remember to return your Snuggle Books each week with your white bags in order to get a new Snuggle Book. The morning class Snuggle Books are the Bob Books. The afternoon Snuggle Books are three different series of early readers.

Our "refridgerator words" this week are MY, SEE and THIS.

This week we learned/reviewed the sounds S,A,T,I, P and N. You can make many, many words with these letters!

The afternoon class enjoyed going to the computer lab and playing on Baily's Book House. If you have a computer at home plase encourage your child to use the mouse so that they can point and click as well as drag. A fun website is starfall.com. Tvokids.org and pbskids.org are also fun and educational! Reader Rabbit is a terrific phonics program as well.

We completed a lot of fun Thanksgiving themed activities this week including the Turkey Poem, counting turkeys, and turkey puppets and patterns. We also read several books including "Stone Soup" and talked about the meaning of giving, sharing and Thanksgiving.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend with your families.

Mrs. Tyndall
